2014 is a major milestone for The Sound Shop, as we celebrate our 50th year in business!

Since 1964, Colorado Springs has come to the Sound Shop for the best in home audio. The Shop started as an audio equipment store, specializing in tape recorders, radios, and of course, hi-fi stereo systems. The next 50 years brought a whirlwind of change as technology and home entertainment evolved at a rapid pace.Our top products today were the stuff of science fiction in the 60’s, but here we are in an age of of wireless audio streaming, integrated home control systems, and HD home theater.

As our product lines grew bigger and more diverse, so did our services. The Sound Shop was the first retailer in Southern Colorado to offer custom installed home sound systems, and we’re proud to continue that legacy with the cutting-edge, fully-integrated audio, video, and control systems for both homes and businesses.

Certainly a lot has changed, but our core values have remained the same: Offering quality home entertainment, great prices, and friendly, knowledgeable staff to make sure you get the most out of your experience.
